最近また、歯医者通いをする羽目になった。
治療用の椅子に仰向けになって、つい、思い出してしまうのは、ギュンター・グラスの『局部麻酔をかけられて』（原題Örtlich betäubt）だ。
学生時代、ドイツ文学の演習でやった。小説の主人公も歯医者の椅子に横たわり、局部麻酔をかけられて治療を受けるのだが、その間、あれこれ断片的に考える、という内容だ。
もうひとつ、思い出すのはトーマス･マンの『ブッデンブローグ家の人々』だ。代々落ちぶれていき、最後の当主は、虫歯の治療中に敗血症になり、ものすごい痛みとともに死ぬ。怖いなあ。

Either as an accompanying CD, or as the album, I have been thinking of your curious phrase "The Sounds Are Filtering Into The Heats."
I am thinking of using it as the title of one version of the album, and would like to use your drawing of the sweating cat that is your icon as album cover art. You would be credited on the album for cover art.
If you are interested, I would invite you to also draw the design for the back of the cover in the same style. This would be very very simple, listing the songs and the credits in your hand writing. I will pay you 150.00 US for this if you are interested, as I believe that you should be compensated for your clever cat.
I think the upset cat icon would be a good cover for an X-Patriate album, don't you?
